Syndrome, Aber Hostage Loyalty

A curious affliction that befalls all aber residents, who despite constantly bitching about how crap aber is, how poor the facilities are, how cold it gets, how crowded the pubs become and how the small pool of vomit from last week is STILL in the Bay toilets, feel a curious need to defend aber to the death if necessary from any attacks from non-aberites or previous inhabitants.
This phenomonen stretches onto #aber too, and all those who arrive, despite being subjected to a regime of terror and riducule, invariably have their bitterness and bile forged into twisted loyalty by the inhabitants, and become doomed to a lifelong cycle of suffering outright cruelty yet repeatedly coming back for more.
