This is closely linked to the symptomes of Ernold Same Syndrome that greatly reduce if not destroy the unfortunate sufferer's sense of humour. A person with Self-Concious Topic Syndrome will often be very embarassed or concious about the channel topic if it concerns them in some way, and will more often than not change it to something completely different, or blank it all together in order to hide it from the channel, or a particular person.
