A Popular British Tradition [tm] , the observation: "Someone should really do something about that!" can often be heard cried out in caf�s, pubs, and student bedrooms nationwide. While the statements themselves are often pertinent, worthwhile or even highly insightful, it is important to remember that the interlocutor to whom this comment is addressed likely has absolutely no control over what it is you're complaining about. It is most likely they will nod and say "yes, it's terrible isn't it", and then raise their own similar complaint. Someone should really do something about it.
