Wesley, Shut Up

From Aber
Jump to: navigation, search

A recent addition to the #aber armoury, the cry of "Shut up Wesley" is often directed at the less Seasoned of Channel Members when they say something utterly naive or air-headed. As they are prone. This phrase originates from Cpt. J. L. Picard of the USS Enterprise, where he originally directed it at Wesley Crusher, the plastic faced wooden Pinocchio character written into Star Trek TNG to annoy Picard and the viewing public in equal measure. His continual Nice but Dim antics and highly unlikely capacity to pull some unfeasable plan out of his arse delighted and amazed us all, and he lives on in spirit in the non-SCMs in #aber.
